Ron Roddy, DDS

Dr. Ron Roddy is a Beavercreek native, son of Beavercreek High School and Main Elementary teachers. He attended the University of Cincinnati on a baseball scholarship, and received his B.S. in biology and chemistry from Grace College. After receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, Dr. Roddy did an optional, additional General Practice residency at University of Tennessee’s Medical Center with a focus on implant and reconstructive dentistry. In his practice, Dr. Roddy places emphasis on especially complex and challenging cases, and finds it especially rewarding to create great smiles in such situations.
Ron and his wife, Tammy, lead the “typical American life” at home with 8 children and two dogs. They enjoy an array of outdoor activities, exercise, travel, and cherish time spent with their large, fantastic family.
Joseph Palm, DDS

Dr. Joe Palm is originally from central Ohio, but grew up in Williamstown, West Virginia—a small town along the Ohio River. During high school, he volunteered for the Mission of Mercy dental outreach program, where he fell in love with the field of dentistry and the positive impact it can have on a person’s life.
He has done extensive training in clear aligner therapy that enables patients to comfortably straighten their smiles. He has also trained in myofacial pain management with customized treatment modalities that range from holistic home care, oral appliances, and Botulinum toxin administration. He and his wife, Lauren, have two kids (Leigh and Jude) with one on the way, and two dogs (Little Bear and Raki). They enjoy making new memories together while hiking, traveling, golfing and skiing.
Ben Leithold, DDS
Dr. Ben Leithold was raised in Beavercreek, Ohio and attended St. Luke Elementary and Carroll High School where he was an avid member of their concert, jazz, and marching bands. He then moved to Columbus and graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and a minor in Global Public Health. It was during this time that he developed a passion for dentistry through his experiences shadowing dentists and volunteering with dental outreach organizations. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University.
Dr. Ben returned to his hometown of Beavercreek to be closer to family and friends and to serve his local community. He still loves to play music and is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Dayton Dental Society.
Alexander Clemente, DDS
Dr. Alex Clemente is originally from Youngstown, Ohio. He attended Youngstown State University where he received a Bachelor of Combined Science degree. He then went on to graduate with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He did additional, post-graduate hospital dentistry training in Youngstown. Dr. Alex lives in Kettering and has practiced in the Beavercreek/Springboro areas for over 20 years. He has been married to his wife, Lori, for over 30 years. They have 4 grown children and currently have 5 grandchildren. He loves beach vacations, golf, and OSU football.
Our Staff
Alyssa-Dental Hygienist
Alyssa attended Sinclair Community College earning her AAS Dental Hygiene degree. She enjoys helping her patients feel calm and comfortable in the dental chair while providing the best of care. After graduation, Alyssa joined our team at Keep Smiling Dental in 2022. Outside of being a hygienist, Alyssa spends most of her time hanging out with her cat, Murphy, or going thrift shopping. One fun fact is that she has an amazing voice and actually auditioned for American Idol.
Anna-Dental Hygienist
Anna grew up in Kettering, Ohio. She earned her AAS Dental Hygiene degree from Sinclair Community College in 2021. She always loved the dentist growing up and is so happy that she can now provide patients with great experiences when under her care. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her boyfriend exploring new places in Dayton, playing with her 2 sweet cats (Brudder and Tister), and most recently playing in a pickleball league.
Beda – Dental Hygienist
Beda has been training in the dental field since the age of 16. She attended a career technology school for dental assisting during her junior and senior year of high school.Before graduating she accepted a position in her hometown of Springfield, Ohio working in orthodontics, where she decided that she wanted to continue her career in the dental field as a hygienist. She graduated from Sinclair Community College in May of 2021. This exciting next step gave her the ability to help patients regain their confidence with bigger and brighter smiles. Keep Smiling was lucky enough to grab her right out of dental school in 2021. In her free time, Beda enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
Brooke-Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Brooke has been a dental assistant since 2018 when she got her start in an endodontic office while still in high school. She continued to work in endodontics for 4 years while attending Sinclair Community College where she earned her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and an Associates Degree in Applied Health Sciences. In the spring of 2021, Brooke joined the Keep Smiling Dental team. When not working, she spends time at home with her dog, Sesame, or traveling to see family.
Carri-Business Team Member
Carri was born and raised in northern Indiana, but moved to Ohio over 40 years ago. She has worked in the Restaurant/Hospitality Industry for the past 35 years as a multi-unit manager, Director of Operations, and for the last 3 years as a franchisee consultant. She enjoys working with people and looks forward to meeting and getting to know everyone in her current role. She has been married for 39 years and has 3 grown children and two grandchildren that keep her and her husband very busy and active. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Crystal-Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Crystal has been in the dental field since 2006. She attended Sinclair Community College where she received her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certificate in 2009. Crystal feels that the best part of her job is giving patients back their smile. Crystal, her husband, and their daughter love to stay active outside. They love football season and cheering on the Buckeyes.
Danay – Dental Hygienist
Danay attended Sinclair Community College and earned her Dental Hygiene AAS degree. She loves her job – helping patients improve their dental hygiene habits. She was a perfect addition to our team in 2021. Danay grew up in California and still visits often to see family. She likes to travel and see new places, always up for an adventure. Outside of work she spends most of her time with friends and family, and playing with her dog.
Debi-Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Debi has been in dentistry since 1994. She earned a Dental Assistant degree in Florida in 1994, and moved back home and received her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certificate from Sinclair Community College in 2005. She worked with Dr. Schneider for 21 years before his practice was bought by Keep Smiling Dental in 2022. She has 2 grown daughters, a dog, and a cat. When she is not working, she loves to spend time with her family and friends or to travel both in the states and abroad.
Denise-Dental Hygienist
Denise was born in Pennsylvania where she met and married her husband of 20 years. They have since lived in several states following her husband’s active-duty Air Force career. She began her dental career in 1997 when she attended a career technology center for dental assisting. She was employed as an assistant until she graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College in Pennsylvania in 2005 with her AAS Dental Hygiene degree. She worked for many years as a hygienist before taking some time off to raise her 2 sons and twin daughters, and most recently, her rescue dog (Shelby). She and her family currently reside in Beavercreek and she joined the Keep Smiling Dental team in 2022. She is currently taking classes to earn her BS in Dental Hygiene to further her education. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and making memories with her friends and family.
Faith – Dental Hygienist
Faith attended Sinclair Community College at age 17 and earned her Dental Hygiene AAS degree by age 20. She has been an outstanding hygienist for Dr. Joe since she graduated in 2018. She has a passion for helping her patients achieve excellent oral health and a healthy, beautiful smile. She enjoys building long-term, personal relationships with her patients and providing them with quality patient care. Faith has a large family which includes 8 beautiful nieces and nephews who are all in the Dayton area. She is recently married and enjoys spending time at home with her husband, dog and cat.
Jane-Office Manager
Jane has been working in dentistry as a business team member since 2007 and the best thing about her job is the people that she meets. She has lived in the Dayton area for most of her life except for the years she attended and graduated from the University of California, Long Beach. Her goal is to make sure that every patient has a great experience with our office from the moment they first call and make an appointment until they walk out the door. Jane enjoys traveling with her husband of over 30 years and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoys cooking for family and friends and sharing a nice bottle of wine with dinner or a Manhattan at the end of the day. Jane is a founding member of the Dayton Boat Club and loves competing with the Masters rowing team.
Kelsea-Dental Hygienist
Kelsea knew since she was a freshman in high school that she wanted to be a Dental Hygienist. She started her junior and senior years attending Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) for dental assisting. She then furthered her education at Sinclair Community College where she obtained her AAS Dental Hygiene degree with honors in 2022. She is passionate about providing excellent patient care and loves meeting new patients and establishing long-term relationships. In her free time, she likes to spend time with friends and family, to travel, and to do new things. She has 3 dogs, 1 cat, and 2 sugar gliders that mean the world to her.
Kevin-Clinical Operations Coordinator/Dental Hygienist
Kevin was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio but has lived in the Dayton area since 2000. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bowling Green State University with a BS in Pre-Medicine Biology. It was during orthodontic treatment that he discovered his love for dentistry/dental hygiene. He graduated from Sinclair Community College in 2003 with a Dental Hygiene AAS degree, where he served as class president and earned valedictorian status. Kevin returned to Sinclair as a clinical instructor in 2012. The primary focus of his work is education. He loves to provide his patients with the necessary tools to improve and maintain their oral health for a lifetime. Keep Smiling welcomed Kevin and his impressive resume to the team in 2020. When Kevin isn’t working, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family, friends and three dogs.
Linda – Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Linda became interested in working in the dental field as a result of her affection for her childhood dentist. She began as a dental assistant while she was still in high school, and was later an orthodontic technician. She joined Dr. Roddy in 2002 bringing her previous experience, friendly demeanor and ability to put patients at ease, making her a great asset to the Keep Smiling team. She earned her EFDA certification in 2003. When Linda is not working, she and her husband enjoy fishing and boating in Tennessee and caring for their two babies (cats).
Makenzie – Dental Hygienist
Makenzie attended Sinclair Community College earning her Dental Hygiene AAS degree. She is considering furthering her education at OSU to earn her BS degree. Makenzie enjoys helping her patients improve their overall oral health by educating them in the newest oral hygiene products or simply changing technique, frequency or habits in home care. The practice was very fortunate to add her to the team in 2020. Makenzie likes to spend her spare time near water, whether that be kayaking, fishing, boating or paddle boarding. She also has a larger than life love for animals and has rescued many different species, but the ones that are still with her include a dapple chiweenie and two black cats.
Samantha – Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Samantha has been a dental assistant for 9 years. She attended Sinclair Community College where she received her EFDA certificate in 2018. Her experience and enthusiasm were welcomed into the Keep Smiling family in 2019. Samantha’s favorite part of being in the dental field is working with patients and helping them love their smiles. In her free time, Samantha and her husband, Jason, stay busy hiking and exploring with their recent addition, a golden retriever puppy named Luna.
Starla – Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Starla began her study of dentistry in 1985. She was the first employee Dr. Roddy hired upon the opening of his practice in 1989. She took great interest in continuing her study as she evolved in the field, and received her EFDA certification in 1991.Starla’s training, education, and personal emphasis on patient care make her an expert in all aspects of restorative and implant dentistry. After more than 30 years in dentistry, she continues to take impeccable care of her patients and has great pride in her work.
Stephanie-Business Team Member
Steph started her love of dentistry as an oral surgery assistant and has worked in the dental field in one capacity or another since 2018. She was a wonderful addition to our Keep Smiling family in 2021. Steph has a daughter who is the love of her life. In her free time, she enjoys watching her daughter ballet dance and planning her upcoming wedding. She looks forward to helping our patients achieve a brighter smile.
Sue-Business Manager
Sue has worked for the practice in some capacity since 2002, returning to full-time status in May of 2019. She graduated from Taylor University with a BA in Business Administration. She brings to the practice her previous dental office knowledge as well as accounting and human resources experience. Her favorite part of working in the practice is the sense of family with both patients and co-workers. Sue lives in Beavercreek with her husband of over 30 years and two dogs. She has two adult sons also living in the area, and her “grandchildren” are all non-human. She enjoys reading, gardening, biking and traveling, but generally only in warm areas with a beach nearby.
Tammy-Business Team Member
Tammy has worked in office management and human resources for over 25 years. In 2022, with having a lifelong interest in dentistry, she decided to take a step back and try her hand in the dental field. Her favorite part of the practice is working in a family-friendly environment where she can help patients achieve a healthy smile and realize their dental goals. In her spare time, Tammy enjoys spoiling her grandchildren, spending time with family and friends, and vacationing on the lake.
Tracy-Business Team Member
Tracy has been in the dental field for over 31 years. She started her career as a Dental Assistant. Over the years, she has gained experience in all areas of the business side of the office. The Keep Smiling family brought her on board in 2022. Tracy’s favorite part of being in the dental field is working with the patients and helping them achieve a beautiful smile. Tracy is married and has 3 grown children and 2 fur babies. In her free time, she enjoys walking and spending time with family and friends.
